About The Mrs.

I am part owner of a Web Design & Marketing business and a mother to 4 kids. I have been a self-proclaimed computer nerd for almost 15 years and find myself with a PC or Mac within arms reach no matter where I am. I met my husband playing a video game (Counterstrike 1.6) for crying out loud! I own a few blogs on different topics and really enjoy educating myself on search engine optimization and blogging - so that I can be the best blogger possible.

The Mr. and I thought up this blog as a fun way to share our opinions on the things we use everyday. Come to think of it - it was right around the time that I decided I would never buy another Brother all-in-one copier/scanner/fax machine because of the idiotic quirks that it has that could have easily been fixed if someone at Brother actually TESTED it in a real world environment. I thought to myself - I am going to tell others about this piece of crap so they don't make the same mistake I did. It didn't take long to convince the Mr. because not only did he agree that the Brother is a total piece, he chimed in that he absolutely hates our water cooler. Viola' a blog is born!

The reviews I write are completely honest and I have fun writing them, even if they are a bit snarky or embarrassing. I have no problem being transparent about who I am so you know that there is a real person behind the writings here.

About The Mr.

Before I say much about myself I must clarify the "piece" being referred to in the Mrs. about article. The Brother MFC - something or other crashes Photoshop regularly. Ok - not regularly, every time. The ratio is 3:1 - 3 crashes for each 1 document scanned at 300 dpi via the twain import in photoshop cs. It is quite a "piece" of junk - not apple pie.

Now a little about myself for the blogosphere, It is true I've enjoyed plenty of rounds in Counter-strike and am not ashamed to say it. If my schedule permitted I would be happy running through de_dust2 with my virtual rifle of choice. In the real world however, there usually comes a time to put those things away and take up art collecting. I have a specific taste in art, I really enjoy portraits of dead presidents. The more I receive the better my day becomes. They all must be done in a monochromatic green though, nothing else. If you ever come across any and feel like making a donation to my collection, they usually fit nicely in the palm of my hand or billfold.

I am not as nerdy as my counterpart, she is uber nerd of the house, I only play the part. I am actually a secret agent living in a very casual atmosphere on assignment. Ok, not really - but this is online, where else can someone pretend to be someone they're not so convincingly. Not amused? Go browse Myspace awhile, I'm guessing under 10% really look like their photos.
