Just hung up with DirecTV customer service, after getting the total runaround, and was finally transferred to the 3rd customer service rep who acted like we had a bad connection, then hung up on me! They’ve obviously got irreverent and juvenile employees that really don not take your issues seriously. As evil as my local cable company is, at least I can go into a local office and deal with a rep face-to-face.

What was the person smoking that wrote this? Direct TV has the worst customer service. I’ve been with them for at least 5 years, I have finally had enough. When you have to call their customer service once a week or like this week two days in a row, you find out how dumb they really are. I keep getting a 721 channel not purchased, and they have to keep resetting it. They can’t seem to come up with a long term fix. I wonder how smart their engineering department is? They seem like the ones that finished last in their class in college. Maybe they hired the wrong kind of engineers. I wouldn’t get into a contract with this company, if you do then it’s your own fault for not checking the reviews.

I am happy to hear that you like Directv so much. I know that DISH Network also offers the RV service. And you can take a receiver from your home to your RV without much of a “hitch”. : ) Enjoy satellite? Enjoy DISH Network!

Hey this is Zach here a DISH employee and subscriber. I just wanted to share some information with you about DIRECTV. DIRECTV doesn’t offer 24/7 customer support, so if you want to call in and get something done you will have to call during DIRECTV hours. DISH on the other hand is open 24/7 365.

Deliberately decieves and overcharges after service is begun. I had my own reciever, used my own equipment and set up the equipment by myself, at the end of service directv claimed all my equipment as their leased equipment and kept threatening to charge me penalty unless it is all returned, wil never use their service ever again, would not recommend this company to anybody, Dish Network is a 1000 times better and customer service really cares for their patrons, unlike Directv.

I was informed in early 1995 I was the 100th customer in Jefferson, Al.
Since that time I was without Direct for 18months while building a house. Since 2005 Direct has done nothing but lie to the public about their great customer service. I will be leaving them on July 27, 2010 as I now will accept whatever is available if they just be honest with me.

I'm a full time RV'er and love my DirecTV! I travel the countryside with my Winegard RoadTrip satellite tv antenna and have excellent reception everywhere in the country. Love my DirecTV!
