Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy Review – This stuff kicks ass!

I can't say enough about this kickass hair smoothing serum: Biosilk Silk Therapy Cure by Farouk

Biosilk Silk Therapy CureWell I guess the prior sentence gives away my overall feeling about Biosilk Silk Therapy, but let me just tell you why I think this product is so awesome.

First off, a little history about my hair. I have super thick hair and it's neither straight nor curly, it's wavy at best; in that I can scrunch it with a bunch of product and make it look semi-curly. I dye my hair every 6-8 weeks and as a result there are some areas around my face where the hair has been processed regularly that gets frizzy when it's blow-dried.

While my hair is still wet, I put a dab (about the size of a quarter) of Biosilk in my hands and rub them together and apply it my hair by running my hands along my hair from the scalp to the ends. When I blow-dry my hair with the biosilk in it, it actually makes my hair easier to brush through and the end result is much softer and somewhat shinier hair. I say somewhat shinier because my hair doesn't come out looking like one of those models in a Pantene commercial or anything, but it is noticeably less dull than if I had just blow-dried my hair without Biosilk.

Other benefits to this product include the smell, which is light enough that it's not over-powering, but is actually really nice and lasts all day.

4.5 star rating

The Mrs. gives Farouk Biosilk Silk Therapy a 4.5/5

The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is due to the convenience factor; I cannot pick this product up at the local Target or similar store. Whether it's a fashion faux pas or not, I'm partial to buying salon products on ebay. You can also get lucky and buy Biosilk at Costco once in a blue moon and sometimes Amazon.com has a good price on Biosilk if you can't pick it up at Costco. If I could grab this at a store and get instant gratification, I would give it a 5 without a doubt!
